After resigning from the charter school and moving to Dolores Colorado, I started looking for my next career. In the meantime, I worked part-time at a local college teaching business classes. It was fun working with adults after working with teenagers for so long. The adults were going to school with a purpose and that was refreshing.
One of the other teachers who was working at the college (he taught accounting) was into buying gold online. He would mention to me how good gold was doing but I quickly dismissed it in my mind. I was not interested in the stock market and gold was a stock commodity. On December 30th, 2005, gold was worth 513.05, and as of February 21, 2018, gold is worth $1329.60. I think my teacher friend was right on the money, don’t you think!
Sometimes, it is worth the time to investigate a new opportunity even though it may not be your interest. Warren Buffet said “The investor of today does not profit from yesterday’s growth.”
Prescription for Today: Keep your eyes open for new opportunities when investing.
